The Connecticut Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that distributes food to vulnerable demographics. CTFB has 700 local "partner programs" (such as soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters and low-income adults) in six counties and more than 4,500 volunteers and staff people.
With this new facility, warehouse space has doubled; cold storage and loading dock capacity has tripled. This added food storage and handling space has allowed Connecticut Food Bank to increase the variety, depth and consistency of nutritious food they provide in partnership with community based hunger assistance organizations to more than 300,000 hungry Connecticut residents each year.
